Jasmine Murray voted off American Idol
What a huge disappointment. Last night Jasmine Murray was voted off American Idol. Jorge Nunez was the other contestant who was voted off. This week was Michael Jackson week. Contestants had to choose a Michael Jackson or a Jackson 5 song. Jasmine Murray sang “I’ll Be There” and Jorge Nunez sang “Never Gonna Say Goodbye”. Jasmine’s performance was very good and she surprised the judges once again with her singing ability. Unfortunately she was still voted off.
This is certainly a big let down, but this will not be the end of Jasmine Murray’s singing career. There must be plenty of music producers who are waiting to get their hands on her. As the judges have reminded us repeatedly, ’she is very commercial’. She will have a music career, if she so chooses.
It is a huge disappointment that she got voted off so soon in American Idol. She is young and inexperienced however, she was becoming better and better with every show.
We will miss you on American Idol Jasmine, and we can’t wait to see what you will do next.
The show featured an appearance by Kelly Clarkson, and she sang her new single “my life would suck without you”. There was also a fun performance by all of the American Idol contestants singing a mix of Michael Jackson and Jackson 5 songs. Don’t forget that this week’s theme was Michael Jackson.

The only reason Jas was the first to be voted off this season was the lack of fanbase. She received too much hate from viewers. Too many viewers doubted her talent. Like David Hernandez, it was an elimination conspiracy. I call season 8 the most forgettable season ever.

Winning American Idol does not guarantee success as a recording artist. Likewise, being the first to be voted off in the finals does not guarantee failure as a recording artist. Jas has what it takes to be more successful than some of the other season 8 finalists. Her Idol performances are amazing, and they are only the tip of the iceberg. We have just missed out on her full potential. In the long run in the years to come, her elimination will most likely turn out to be ironic, because it was staged.
